Countdown to Chile: Shots, shots, shots, shots, shots, shots, shots … everybody!

I leave for Santiago in 14 days!

Sorry to disappoint, this blog post is about immunization shots and not about getting drunk as the LMFAO song lyrics in the title may have suggested.

I am officially safe against measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis A & B and typhoid. I needed to catch up on a few shots I had fallen behind on, and then took the recommended ones for traveling to Chile … although none are required.

So … everything is coming together smoothly. I’m sure there’s some glaring thing I’m forgetting to prepare, but I’ll deal with it when I figure out what that might be. I don’t think anyone can be fully prepared to move to another country, so I’m not even going to try. Well, I take that back. I’m trying to be completely ready but know I’ll probably fail at that feat … and that’s OK.
