I’ve been feeling a bit of positive energy lately … so I just thought I’d spread it around.
Cheers to my first post in a new little series I’m bringing to the blog. Every week, I’ll put up a bit on things I’m loving at the moment. I think it will be a fun way to share a peek into my everyday life.
Although I’ve always been drawn to stories of transience, it’s personally not my strong suit. Even though I desperately want to discover new things and find myself wrapped up in some dreamlike adventure, change is practically my biggest fear. Perhaps that’s why I look up to people who master it so well. Personally surviving such a lifestyle would mean overcoming a pretty big hurdle, or more likely — a thousand of them, but I’m always up for a challenge. Maybe that is, in part, what my travel bug is about.
Kara Baldonado has slept outside four times in recent weeks, longing to win the hottest ticket in town — the chance at a driver’s license. First-time Nevada drivers now have to wait up to a month and a half to schedule a driving test, forcing those who need a license sooner to bear the overnight standby line.
Tipster Keith Messina learned this week that the FBI officially denied his claim for the reward in a statement that said the information he provided did not lead to Bulger’s arrest. Messina said several tidbits surrounding the treatment of his tip just don’t add up, including why the FBI’s denial letter was delivered more than two weeks after its July 13 date or why his tip was ignored.
